Psalm 27:8 has long been one of my favorite verses.
My heart has heard you say, “Come and talk with me.” And my heart responds, “Lord, I am coming.” That’s the New Living Translation.
The New King James Version puts it this way: When You said, “Seek My face,” My heart said to You, “Your face, Lord, I will seek.”
I don’t even know what to say about this verse. It just echos my heart’s cry. And it makes me want to grab my Bible, my journal, my prayer list,some worship music….my weaknesses, worries, concerns, and sorrows…and take them all to a quiet corner somewhere and bask in the presence of the Lord. I’m beginning to understand that when I seek Him with my whole heart – I will find Him. You will, too.
Be encouraged and know that when I do finally find that quiet corner today – I’ll be praying for you.
